Scott joined BoldMouth as Chief Executive Officer in 2007, bringing twenty years of marketing experience from across a range of disciplines, industries, engagements and clients. Scott most recently was Managing Vice President of Brand Marketing for Capital One, one of the largest banks in the country. In this role he headed Capital One's consumer marketing efforts for the U.S. Credit Card division, responsible for marketing strategy and execution. His responsibilities included direct marketing, value proposition development, advertising and promotions, and market research. In other positions he lead one of the largest captive direct marketing agencies in the US, and was responsible for managing Capital One's $800MM direct marketing supply chain.

Prior to joining Capital One, Scott was Vice President at Epsilon, the largest database marketing firm in the U.S. He has been a management consultant with Arthur D. Little, a marketing executive for the Marriott Corporation and a brand manager for PepsiCo.

Scott has served on the Board of Directors of the Direct Marketing Association, the Board of Advisors for the Interactive Marketing Institute at Virginia Commonwealth University and has been a lecturer at the Direct Marketing Educational Foundation's Yeck Center for Advanced Studies.

A frequent public speaker on direct marketing topics, Scott has also acted as an industry spokesman on several federal policy issues, a role that included testimony before both houses of Congress.

Scott received his B.A. in Economics from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. in Marketing and Finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
